Warehouse transformation for IDS
The Chief Executive of IDS, Patrick Doyle, contacted us looking to transform an empty warehouse they had recently purchased into an office and warehouse.
IDS deliver duty-free goods, household goods and groceries to embassies throughout the world. They were based in an unpractical office in Horsham with no parking. This made it difficult for their staff who had to try and find spaces in town. On top of this, their warehouse was based in Tilbury and wasn’t practical for their needs.
After purchasing a large, empty warehouse, IDS contacted us for advice on how we could convert their empty space into a functional warehouse and office space with expansion room for new staff.
We helped them out by installing mezzanine flooring, stud and steel partitioning to transform their warehouse space. The mezzanine floor provided the grounds for a private office for Patrick Doyle, expandable office space for the staff, toilets and a canteen area for staff lunches.
We started this warehouse transformation project on the 16th of April and had to work super efficiently to get it finished in time for IDS’ move-in date of the 1st of June!
We hit our target and this transformation was ready for 1st June as planned! IDS now have the space they need to grow their business from an efficient location and parking of course!
